About the Programme


The Bachelor of Arts English Honours Programme (BAEGHOL) tries to nurture the potential of students to interested in literature, literary studies to be able to critically analyse, read imaginatively and value the inherent power of language that helps shape our thoughts, and paints a picture of the world for us, a world where literature is born, takes shape and grows, and affects us. Every course of study includes a critical analysis, a point of departure that helps develop our faculties and sensitivities to some of the most noteworthy texts in British Literary history amongst other areas of literature. We offer four types of courses – a) Core Courses (CC), b) Discipline Specific Electives (DSE), c) Ability Enhancement Compulsory Courses (AECC), d) Skill Enhancement Courses (SEC), and e) Generic Electives (GE).
